Very rare pair of period Italian neoclassical walnut benches or sofas with hand carved backs, tapered legs, cane seats and later removable cushions. 
These sofas are as good as it gets and would make a grand statement on either side of a hallway or opposing each other in a living room. 
The cushions have been made with a board under the stuffing to evenly distribute the weight across the caning so they can be used without fear of damage.
